WHERE YOU WILL WORK

As a Field Service Technician, you will travel to customer locations all over the world. You are the face of Omega when you visit our customers. Every job will be diverse and a new experience in your service career.

YOUR KEY CONTRIBUTIONS

We make an extraordinary variety of packaging automation solutions for the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, personal care, and consumer goods industries. Our products help bring essential products safely and efficiently through the supply chain. As a Field Service Technician, you will upgrade older machines and install new ones at customer locations along with:

  • Modifying machine control programs including, but not limited to, PLCs, HMIs, vision systems, robotic systems, and motion control systems

  • Modifying panel layouts and wiring schematics.

  • Traveling to customer sites to install new machines and troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and programming on existing machines

  • Training customer personnel in the setup and use of Omega machines.

  • Assisting in the development of improvements to Omega’s machines through field experience.

  • Providing clear, timely documentation of electrical, mechanical and programming changes made to equipment during service.

  • Staying well informed on current electrical and programming standards.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Must have:

  • Working knowledge and hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical assembly as well as the ability to operate machine and hand tools

  • PLC and HMI programming skills with special emphasis on Allen Bradley and Siemens

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to relate to customer needs

  • Ability to travel a minimum of 50% of the time

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Passport required

  • Reliable transportation

  • Knowledge of motion control systems including servo motors, stepper motors and drive

  • AutoCAD experience with panel layouts and Wiring Schematics

  • An Associates Degree or equivalent technical school training preferred with at least 5 years of relevant experience

MORE DETAILS YOU’LL WANT TO KNOW

  • You’ll be based in our Exton, PA facility

  • When not traveling, you have the possibility of a Monday through Thursday workweek

  • On-the-job training will be provided (we will help you become the Omega expert!)

  • You’ll report to the Service Manager

  • This position requires a minimum of 50% travel via personal transportation, bus, train, or plane. Travel may occasionally span 2-3 weeks. Domestic & International travel is required including but not limited to Europe, Asia, Israel and any other location where the company’s products are installed.
