CNC Operator / Programmer
We need you to create precision parts to support the manufacture of customized machinery and packaging equipment.
As our CNC Operator / Programmer, you’ll be the one who creates precision parts to support the manufacture of customized machinery and packaging equipment. You’ll ensure all products are crafted with the utmost quality by:
Operating computer numerical control machines to fabricate parts. Planning for part fabrication. Loading parts in machine, cycling machine, detecting malfunctions in machine operations such as worn or damaged cutting tools.
Measuring own work down to 0.0001” precision
Knowing all speeds and feeds for drilling, milling and tapping across a range of materials form stainless steel, cold-rolled steel, and non-ferrous metals like aluminum and brass and bronze and a variety of plastics.
Advising direct supervisor of perceived problems with processes, machinery or product quality and assist in developing improvements
Communicating with coworkers to meet Production schedules.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Must have:
High school diploma or equivalent
Either 2-4 years of experience in production machining environment operating CNC machines OR a 4-year technical degree with limited experience
Reading prints, including GD&T
Competency with manual vertical mills (Bridgeport-type)
Competency with manual floor lathes
Experience with 2 ½ and 5-axis CNC VMC’s, including programming as well as operating
Experience with drill presses, saws and other various metal working tooling, ALL power and hand tools
Capable of working with small parts, manual dexterity, appropriate hand–eye coordination with visual acuity skills required
Able to maintain a clean and safe working environment
Possess quality focus, sound judgment and decision making
Ability to lift or move 50 pounds frequently
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

This position allows the opportunity to transition to a 4-day work week as part of our flexible work environment.
